What if the students writing exams also helped in creating them? Sounds unbelievable, right? But this is exactly what's happening in Punjab. For the very first time in India, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has partnered with PARAKH (a unit of NCERT) to create something magical — a system where students and teachers together create exam questions.

A Moment of Pride for Every Indian

This is not just an exam update. This is a proud step towards the kind of education our children deserve — one that values understanding over memorizing, and curiosity over cramming. It’s about making every child feel, “My thoughts matter. My learning matters.”

For decades, Indian students have been judged on their memory. Now, with this move, we are telling them — “You are more than marks.”

What Is PARAKH & Why Does It Matter?

PARAKH stands for Performance Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development. It's an NCERT-led initiative under the NEP 2020, and its mission is to change how students are evaluated — from mugging up textbooks to applying knowledge in real-life situations.

Why This Change Touches the Heart

Imagine a student, sitting in a small classroom in Ludhiana or Patiala, not just preparing for exams — but helping design them. Imagine the smile on their face, the confidence in their heart. That’s the kind of India we are building. An India where education is not a burden, but a journey of joy.

Teachers are no longer just exam setters. They are now mentors, guiding students to ask better questions and understand concepts deeply. Together, they are shaping an education system that breathes life into classrooms.

How It Works

  • Teachers receive training to design conceptual and skill-based questions.
  • Selected students join workshops where they contribute ideas and create sample questions.
  • Question papers include real-life, application-based problems — not just textbook recall.
  • Assessments now check critical thinking, understanding, and creativity.

Benefits That Will Last a Lifetime

  • Empowered Students: They feel ownership and pride in learning.
  • Stronger Teacher-Student Bonds: They learn together, grow together.
  • Better Learning Outcomes: Deep understanding leads to real success.
  • A Future-Ready India: Students who can think, not just copy.

A Message for Parents, Teachers & Every Indian

This is a turning point. Let’s support it with open hearts. Our children are not machines — they are dreamers, thinkers, and creators. And they deserve a system that sees them that way.

From the lanes of Amritsar to the classrooms of Chandigarh, Punjab is showing the nation that change is possible — not tomorrow, but today. Let this be the start of something beautiful across India.

Conclusion: India’s Brightest Future Lies Ahead

Education isn’t about marksheets. It’s about minds. It’s about building a generation that’s not just qualified, but also confident, creative, and compassionate. This change in Punjab is emotional, powerful, and necessary — and it could very well be the spark that lights the future of Bharat.

Let’s celebrate this silent revolution. Let’s dream of an India where every student gets to say — "I was a part of building this."

📖 Education with Emotion. Exams with Meaning. Bharat with Vision. 🇮🇳
